DESIGN DEPARTMENT was founded in 2008 by Eric Black and Ben Hufford as a collective
design approach. We believe that design encompasses all projects from t-shirts to master plans.
While there are firms that specialize in particular types of project, we design special projects.
We would be happy to discuss your project, large or small, to see what we have to offer.

Our approach is rooted in making. Our shop is an unconventional mix of high technology
computing and hands’ on prototyping and construction.
